Slavcho Stojanoski, 38 years old from Ohrid, underwent the examination for laser correction in Sistina Ophthalmology Bitola.
Slavcho had myopia and astigmatism (cylinder) -7.5 in the right eye and -5.5 in the left eye.
“My biggest problem was swimming, because I had a large diopter, and I could not wear goggles while swimming, I had a hard time keeping track of where I was with the swimming club, keeping my direction in the water. The problem with running / cycling is that you are not able to wear sunglasses, and they are very necessary.”
He thoroughly researched the laser diopter correction, so that on the day of the intervention there was no fear.
“On the day of the intervention, I felt like every other day. I read enough to understand the routine of the intervention, maybe under the laser those 5 minutes were a little tense, but nothing terrible.”
About his experience with laser diopter correction he says:
“Well, positively, the recovery period is not long and after two days I felt comfortable to drive. “According to the instructions, I did not watch TV, I did not use my laptop and phone for 3-4 days, and then I watched very little TV.”
Due to the high diopter, Slavcho wore glasses with large diopters. Now he can see the same as with the glasses, the only difference is that he does not wear glasses anymore.
“Because of the large diopter, I always wore glasses, so now I can see the same details as before the intervention, only without glasses.
