Todorka Grozdanova-Bakeva, 39, from Kavadarci, underwent laser diopter correction at Sistina Ophthalmology.

Todorka has been wearing eye aids since she was 11 years old. As she entered her teens, Todorka began to wear contact lenses and put her glasses aside.

“The problem started when I did not take off my contact lenses. I literally didn’t wear them only when I was sleeping. The hygiene needed to maintain contact lenses is mandatory. Unfortunately, I did not pay much attention to my contact lenses and they created an infection. “I came to Dr. Fanka to see me for laser diopter correction.”

Todorka’s cornea from the excessive use of contact lenses began to distort or adapt to the contact lens itself.

“I was forced to wear glasses to help my cornea recover. The period with a mask and glasses was overwhelming for me. “It affected my mental state a lot, and as an English teacher, the kids kept emphasizing my glasses.”

Todorka: “When Dr. Fanka told me that my cornea had recovered and that I could do laser diopter correction, my happiness was endless. In life, except for my children, I have not expected anything like the intervention. When the day of the intervention came, I was so happy that the whole medical staff was amazed. The energy in Sistina Ophthalmology is amazing. Many thanks to Sistina Ophthalmology, optometrist Eleonora and Dr. Fanka, for providing me with something I have been looking forward to all my life.”
