Vancho Mihov (67 years old) came to our clinic for an examination because he was not satisfied with the sight on his right eye on which he already had surgery. Meanwhile, a cataract developed in the left eye that slowly matured and reduced vision.
Dr. Biljana Kostovska operated on both eyes on the same day by replacing the lens on the right eye with a new one, which according to the examinations is more suitable for Vancho, and removed the cataract on the left eye.
“In 2015, I had surgery to remove a cataract in my right eye. Even after the operation, my vision was blurred, I saw shadows and it decreased in both eyes. As a grandfather of four grandchildren, I could not perform my daily activities as I would like. Because of that, I knew I had to go for an eye exam. The doctor’s attitude was really fantastic and she told me that I had to operate on both eyes – the right eye that was previously operated on, to make a correction by putting a new lens, while the left eye I certainly had to operate on because my cataract was overripe. Since I was already in the hospital, I decided to have surgery the same day. The nurses prepared me for the operation and in about less than an hour we finished and went home. After the operation, I just had to use drops and do regular check-ups with the doctor who regularly monitors my condition. I cannot describe how satisfied and grateful I am to the whole team of Sistina Ophthalmology for the positive energy that they spread and the attitude of the doctor with humanity and care for me.
