This year, the Sistina Ophthalmology team actively participated in the XXI Congress of Ophthalmologists of Serbia, which was held from May 26 to May 29 in Belgrade. This congress is one of the most massive ones in the region with the participation of 500 ophthalmologists from around the world, as well as 20 lecturers from 16 countries, which covered issues in the field of cataract surgery, refractive surgery, anti-VEGF therapy, etc., in which Sistina Ophthalmology shows progress and extremely positive results.
Dr. Biljana Kostovska presented her results from the implantation of phakic lenses that correct high diopters in patients who are not candidates for another method of diopter correction. Sistina Ophthalmology is the first clinic in the country that implants this type of lens that enables clear vision in patients with over -10, -20 diopters.
Through the presentations of the doctors, Sistina Ophthalmology has once again confirmed its well-deserved place in the high elite society of top ophthalmology clinics in the region, which it will continue to maintain and improve, through continuous education and specialization of the team and new staff and management of new technologies in the ophthalmological practice.
